Concert Reviews 2015

Concert this year was a different to the other years, there was less time to get it ready it was an excellent experience to take time to make a big performance in senior unit classes and 4/5 classes. I liked standing up on stage and starting the night, and standing up on stage and getting over the fear of speaking on stage. I was nervous of being the first one to take on stage. It was interesting watching all the different acts that were produced in that time. It was boring mostly standing by the stage and waiting for the moment to get on stage again. I did mess up a few words but I think I did okay, also light was in my face so I kept making different eye movements when I was speaking. I thought that this was one of the best concerts I have been in.

Pablo

Last week was concert week. On Tuesday it was the dress rehearsal, I enjoyed trying on my costume for the first time. On Wednesday it was the matinee, I enjoyed sitting and watching the other classes perform. On Thursday it was the night time performance, I enjoyed the whole thing because I was with all of my friends and my Mum, Dad, Nana and Papa where watching.(I also enjoyed watching Round the Twist all that time.)
I was in the starting song. I did cart-weals down the aisles and I throw shiny paper up into the air.

Esther

In concert my role was technology that job involves moving the slides on the screens so everybody keeps up were we are in the awards night. It also involves playing the videos and audio when they are needed like when it was time for people to sing. I also have to make sure when there is a scene change the lights go down and I also change the colours. I also went across the stage with a broom at the very end.
I was both excited and nervous that was great because it helped motivate me to get it right. It went reassembly well beside in the middle were I went to the very end not just the next slide. It was great having Koben next to me to help me keep up with the script. It was a bit annoying at the end when I was supposed to have broom but I got a dust pan. The end was great because I helped pack up and was relieved it was over.
My favourite play was Mrs. Greens because it was well balanced it had music and comedy and my favourite video.
Thoughts I had was that Mr. Newtons was way too long .

Myles

For concert I was a host, it was really exciting when I got the part because it was a good opportunity to see how it was like to be hosting a show.
My favourite part was the live performances, I liked how the boys did their performance when they were in a car sort of thing and started doing actions to a song, the girls dance was amazing because it looked like they worked hard on it and then Eden and Georgia’s singing was really good, they did an  awesome job.
When I first went on stage with all those people watching it was kind of nerve racking because I thought I would mess up in front of everyone, instead everyone was saying I did a good job and I’m really happy with what I got to do.
I thought I went really well in concert because I didn’t mess up anything and I focused on what I was saying.  Mr. S gave me some more words to say which I had to practice it in 5 minutes and it was hard to get it correct, I got it right in the end.

Chelsea

I was in a film could Jurassic yard we changed it from Jurassic park to Jurassic yard we had some excitement when we were filming Jurassic yard. I think Jurassic yard went fine because we got it done in one go but we did have to plan what we were going to do.
When we did concert I first felt really nerves before going on stage and when I got on stage there where a lot of people there watching every one which made me nerves. Before I got to concert I just wanted to just get it done an over with and at the end I felt good because I had no more concerts to do in 6/7.
My most favourite part was the video’s one of my favourite was called Gandalf comes to Immanuel and Jurassic yard.  Jurassic yard was in the video part which was right at the end of concert.
The very last thing at the end was singing a song from the justice crew and me and my friends really enjoyed our self’s and we were having fun together.

This review is about concert and what I thought.
I was in the opening number and we had to wear a formal clothes because the theme was  a awards night in the opening number I was also a Egyptian we performed to the song it had to be you by Harry Connick Jr.
I was in a music award and the song could thousand miles and I thought I did well in it and all the others that I did it well which made it look really good and I really liked doing the song it was really exciting but I was really nervous when I was a presenter because I was afraid I was going to mess up but in the end I really enjoyed it.
My feelings were out of here I thought I was going to have a heart attack but then I calmed down and thought it was awesome and could not wait to get on stage again.
My favourite part was frozen, josh and Isaac they did great and made it really funny so they would of won if I was judge
I thought concert was amazing  thanks for reading my review

  Saxon

I thought the concert went really good because everything went right and nothing stopped suddenly.
I had to introduce Miss Lytwyn’s class with Catlin. Miss Lytwyn’s class was doing a circus act and it was really good but I was scared that I would say something wrong and everyone would laugh at me. Thankfully that did not happen.
Before I felt really freaked out but after I had been on the stage I felt fine.     The night act though was very scary and before it I felt really sick with butterflies. After both acts I felt really relived because we didn’t have to get back on the big stage and talk to a giant crowed of people.
My favourite part was when Miss Lytwyn’s class was on stage doing there circus act but I also liked Mrs Greens class because they were doing The Big Bad Bushranger.
My only other thought was that at the end when we had finished the last song we all throw GLITTER! But I can see why we didn’t because we would have to clean it all up and that would take ages, maybe even days. L

This concert was by far my favourite concert of all years.
It was amusing and it was fun creating everything and speaking on stage on the night.
In my part I was an Award Host (presenting an award) with my partner Josh for best stage award, after we had finished our part we were both proud of ourselves for not messing up.
On the stage it was nerve-racking in front of all the parents with them all staring at you.
Before we begin concert we need to go through the stage of getting our roles and practise what our performances are, which takes a fairly long time to practise and adjust it to make it more creative.
It was a really great experience to perform like our concert in an awards night for parents, students, and teachers to witness.

Lachlan D

I was very proud what we did. It wasn’t very hard what we did the movies which were really good. I was happy that I got to get in a movie and it was not very hard what I did in the movie. I think everyone did a good job. My favourite movie was Jurassic park because we had a plan what we were doing and we got it done.
My bit that I did in concert was not that hard all I had to do was walk down the side of the chairs and then sit on the side of the stage at was not very frightening it was actually very easy I think that I could of done a bit more.

Jackson

I think that concert this year, was a hit.
All of the students stepped outside of their comfort zones to perform the best they can, in whatever role they were given.
Eden and I were nominees in the live music category. We chose a new piece of music to perform at both the matinee and the evening concert. We performed passengers let her go together. We practiced for a very long time for this performance.
Personally I was very nervous for our performance, but as soon as I got out there I was fine.
When concert was over I was really happy. All of the stress that had built up to that night was finally relieved.
I loved all of the preparation of concert. Practicing with everything all set up really gave us an insight to what it would be like at the real performance.
The down lights, really blinded us. It was good in some ways because we couldn’t see the audience. When the lights were on, it felt like there was no one there, which made the nerves ease a little bit.
This year’s Concert was a great way to end our primary school performances for 2015.

Georgia

Concert was great! I did let it go from Frozen with Isaac. In the matinee all the little kids got a laugh and some of the adults but in the night performance when I first got on stage all I heard was my mum laughing with one of her friends. At the end all of the audience clapped and we walked off.
I felt pretty good at the start but when I went on all of my nerves came to me but I went on with show. After all the acts where done we had to sing Que Sera in the whole upper primary. We walked down the edge of the aisles and started sing we did some dance moves to go with the song.
My favourite bit was when the year 5 Lytwnn did there concert act which was the circus and a boy wanted to join the circus but he couldn’t do anything and at the end the boy got a job of selling hot foods and drinks
My thoughts on concert are that all the performances did well got a couple of laughs and it was a good and fun night to remember.

Josh

Concert was great! I did 1000 miles with 9 other boys I really enjoyed performing in front of the people that were there because you could hear people laughing and having a good time. I was also in singing in the rain it was a good laugh and I enjoyed doing it because I got wet with lots of water.
I was nervous when I was waiting to come on stage because I knew there were a lot of people out there and if you weren’t in time with the other boys it would look strange.
My favourite performance was the last song which was at the end and there a good atmosphere in the room at everyone was singing and jumping around crazy. My other favourite bit was the start because everyone was coming down the aisles and making a good first impression.
I really enjoyed doing this concert it was my favourite concert that I have ever done because there was a lot of humour and a lot of the guest enjoyed it to.

Angus

Concert was amazing! The thrill of being on stage, performing felt great. Before I got up on stage I was scared and a little stressed, but when I got up on stage it was really cool, the lights made it feel really professional. I was in the days of our life and I went on stage at the start and end along with everyone else. I loved all the performances except for the year 4 play; it was a little too long for my liking. I loved all the musical performances, the boys one made me laugh a lot, Georgia and Eden’s Song was amazing and was defiantly a highlight! After all the performing I felt amazing and very proud of myself. I enjoyed the night heaps but the day I failed at since I just ran across the stage like a duck at the start. The song at the end went really well. I wish I could do it again next year!

Shay

This year’s concert was action packed and in the style of an awards night. I performed in the category music, and was in different videos such as cats, days of our lives, and X Factor.  I think everything turned out okay in the end, and my performance went well.
I had doubts in how concert was going to flow altogether, but it turned out fine. I felt excited at the beginning when everyone was gathered in the senior unit talking about how thing were going to run. Throughout concert was busy and tiring, and everyone was putting in a lot of effort to get things working. At the end of concert, we all felt exhausted and proud of the work and commitment we all put in.
My favourite videos would have to be survivor and hamlet; they made me laugh out loud.
The only thing we could have improved on is keeping quiet in the senior unit while waiting.

Eden

The 2015 senior concert was incredibly awesome. Everyone got involved and everyone in the audience loved it.
I was heavily involved in concert. I was in the beginning song as a cart-wheeler, and I got to throw glitter, I then had to go up on stage to receive the award for the best stage performance, then I was in the live music performance presenting salute, and finally I was in the last song for the finale.
I liked the whole concert, but if I had to pick one bit it was when Nikita and I went up on stage to collect the award for the best stage performance, cats won. It was my favourite part because I liked all of the attitude and sass that we had to have to receive the award. I also really liked all of the different films and categories there were, the different categories we had were stage performances, general TV shows, reality TV shows, movies and live music.
I think everyone was a bit nervous before the performance began, but as soon as it began and everyone was on stage, everyone got into it and had fun.

The upper primary concert of 2015 was a success. We didn’t have many mess ups or problems. The senior unit led it with a spoof of an award night, with everyone in formal wear and people handing out awards for categories such as best movie award or the best general TV show. It was done really well and the audience loved it.
We had a really good opening number to the song ‘It had to be you’ with myself cartwheeling down one of the aisles with other girls and some other people clicking down. A few people did different things on stage. I was a part of one of the live acts, a female group dance to song ‘Salute’ by Little Mix, it was a serious dance and was to show that girls are just as strong as boys.  It flowed really well and didn’t have any issues. I was also a part of a spoof of David Attenborough in ‘The life of the Senior Unit’ this show was to explain our unit in a humorous way.
Over all, the concert worked well, it was enjoyable and ran really nicely, with minimal issues during the night.

The upper primary concert 2015 was very successful. We had very few problems but other than that it was good. The Senior Unit led the concert with an Award Night, presenting awards such as Best Movie and Best General TV award.  The years 4/5 did 3 musicals.
We had a good opening number to the song ‘It had to be you’ with myself clicking down the aisle with other people cartwheeling and tumbling. I was a part of one of the Best General TV clips, ‘The Life of The Senior Unit’.  This was like a humorous David Attenborough documentary on the children in the Senior Unit. I was also a part of one of the live music acts, a female dance group dancing to the song ‘Salute’. It was a serious dance to show that girls are just as strong and brave and boys. It worked really well and I was very surprised that we could actually pull it off.
The concert worked very well, it was an enjoyable last concert and flowed really well. I believe that some of the musicals could be adjusted to make more interesting but other than that it was good.

This is a concert review about what went on in the upper primary concert and how I think we went.
I was in the opening number when the 6/7 boys were all in black and white. The opening number was a theme of 1900’s with a song called it had to be you by Harry Connick Jr. The girls were wearing 1900 type dresses. I was also in the Jurassic park video. I played the part as the old man who gets pushed and eaten by the spinosouras. I think I was good in the opening number when I tried my best to stay in time with the others at the end.
How I felt during and after.
I felt thrilled when we finished because it was my last primary school concert. I felt nervous in the opening number because there was lots of people that paid money to watch it. At the start I felt shaky being one of the first to go on stage.
Videos.
My opinion was the videos were very amazing because the 6/7 students done most of it alone. Most of them were funny especially to the crowd.
Concert was awesome!

I think this concert was one of the best that I have been in!!! During the night performance I felt that I would throw up but when I first hit the stage I was filled with excitement. I was one of the group of  people that walked down the aisle beside the seats clicking my fingers and when I sat on the edge of the stage I felt amazing besides the fact I couldn’t see because the lights were flashing bright in my eyes, but I still felt proud of what I was accomplishing. My video was chosen to be in the reality TV shows. I was chosen to be in amazing race, my part was to be in a team with Ella.
In the video the different groups had to take a detour and their challenge was to drink a really dodgy smoothie containing tuna, banana, tomato and other toxic waste luckily I did not have to drink this not human sludge. Concert was terrific and outstanding.

Concert was a good experience for me because I got up on stage a couple of times. I was in these things, 1000 miles, twirling down an aisle, spinning an umbrella and singing Que sera they were my on stage acts. I had one on the screen that was called days of our lives.
The opening song was great because I got to twirl down an isle then wait a bit then spin an umbrella. My next part was a long way off so I went down to the senior unit. After about an hour I went out and did my 1000 miles act which got a few laughs which was good. Then the days of our lives came on the screen that got some laughs as well. Then it was just the wait to the end song were we sung Que sera, were Hamish, Brodi, James, Eddy and I  all linked arms and jumped till the song finished. Then we waited to get picked up by our parents, the drive home my parents were saying how good I was and what was your favourite act.
Concert was a very good experience for me to try new things.

This concert is skill enhancing, enjoyable and a good opportunity for kids to show their talent in certain fields.
You begin by being informed of what you are doing, which is probably the most boring part of this experience. Then you begin practicing and preparing for your performance on the big day. After we have successfully learnt our parts and completed videos and things such as this we perform the day performance dubbed “matinee”. This has not nearly the immense population or the atmosphere that the big concert night has.
I was primarily in three things: the beginning performance greeted by a song and dance by the unit, also a video parody of the hit movie “Lord of the rings”, as well as moving the props for other classes and performances, and finally I was in the hit comedy music performance “thousand miles”. My favourite part was thousand miles because it was enjoyable as well as amusing for the audience.
It was a great experience for the students, staff and many of the audience on both the matinee and the concert. Most people I know of enjoyed this experience as much as I did. An excellent experience.
