Boom Boom Boom, Shake the Room. Welcome back to Term Two
Wow! What a start to the term. It's Thursday already and it has been non stop. We hope you had a great holiday and are well rested for a new term of exciting and interesting work.
This term is set to be a busy one again with many activities occurring. Here a brief run done of some of the things ahead of us in the Senior Unit
Week 2: 6/7 Jones will be on Assembly.
Week 3: Year 7's will be participating in the NAPLAN Testing
Week 4: Senior Camp to Wirraway. Monday to Wednesday. More information can be found here about the camp site. http://www.wirraway.org/
If you have any questions about camp please contact one of the Senior Unit teachers.
Week 6: 6/7 Butter will be on Worship and Praise.
Week 8: Cabaret Night.

Sports Day Success or We are the Green the greatest team of all
Sports day has come and gone for another year and Green has proved victorious once again. A great day was had by all and lots of physical prowess was on display. Thanks for being a part of this day and enjoying the activities on offer.

Sports Day Update
It has been confirmed that for sports day you can
- colour your hair in the team colour. This is done at home and spray cans are not to be brought to school.
- War Paint. You are welcome to wear Zinc/face paint in your teams colours. This must be put on at home and zinc etc is not to be brought to school.

- You are able to wear a top in the colour of your team. It shouldn't have a logo on it or for it to be small. School hats and shorts need to be worn.

Week 10
Welcome to Week 10.
This week is a short week with Friday being a public holiday for Good Friday and the start of the Easter celebration.
That being said, it doesn't mean that things are slowing down.
On Thursday we have Sports Day!
We look forward to great competition and excitement.
Best wishes go to all teams for the day.
Info on attire will be forth coming.
Other things
No spelling this week due to a short week.
Worship and Praise will be on Wednesday and will be the Good Friday service.

Unit of Inquiry
For our next Unit of Inquiry our focus will be "Where we are in space and time." We will be dividing into Year levels for this unit where the Year 6's will have a different topic to the Year 7's.
The Year 7's focus will be:

Significant People have Shaped Our World
Lines of Inquiry
Peoples contributions effect our lives
History records the consequences and impact of significant people
Society recognises heroes
We want to know your thoughts on this so contribute to the wall on Significant People
The Year 6's focus will be:

Exploration leads to discovery and develops new understandings
Lines of Inquiry
Personal and political reasons for exploration
Methods and means of exploration
Exploration has influenced our world today

Wednesday Rap
It's Wednesday already!
The term is flying by quickly so lets get up to date with the goings on in the Senior Unit.
Last Week...
Let's look back at last week and a big "Well Done" goes to the students who attended the ALWS Awareness day recently. On Friday they presented an excellent Worship and Praise on the topic of refugees. The theme was "Welcoming the Stranger." The students spoke and performed well. Thanks to all who were involved. This is a great Segway into....
This Friday where Mr Semmlers class will be presenting Worship and Praise. Friday is also our Harmony day celebration and Worship will have a focus on this. Parents are welcome to come along and join in the worship and Harmony day celebrations. May God bless all the students the best as they prepare for the service.
Tomorrow we begin new Units of Inquiry. For this one we will be breaking into Year 6 and Year 7 classes. More will be posted on the topics.
